Key Responsibilities
The key responsibilities of this role include:
* Monitoring system performance and maintaining the Observatory's mechanical systems to ensure high levels of availability required for the ATNF.
* Undertaking planned maintenance activities, routine service inspections, and defect repairs on a broad range of mechanical systems.
* Maintaining accurate maintenance logs and relevant engineering drawings and documentation.
Work Environment
The successful candidate will work within a small multi-disciplinary team in a unique national facility. They will have frequent travel opportunities to the site of the ASKAP radio telescope, located 350km northeast of Geraldton.
