SYPAQ is seeking a
Software Developer
to join our incumbent team for an opportunity with Defence. This opportunity is based in Edinburgh and offers an immediate start. Working with Defence this project will see you provide software development support to assist meeting project milestones whilst working in close collaboration with the R&D team.
Responsibilities
Full stack web application development extending the existing prototype (JavaScript/TypeScript, Node.js, Angular 2+, Material UI, Neo4J, PostgreSQL).
Development using containerisation technologies (Docker).
Develop APIs to interact with key databases, including Neo4J and PostgreSQL.
Support automated ingestion and processing of data from a variety of third-party tools.
Workflow and results processing, including automated contextualisation of data.
Software development will be in conjunction with the Department's Staff using an agile methodology. Requirements and priorities for this work are flexible and responsive to ongoing research, client feedback and project milestone requirements. Personnel will be expected to work with minimal supervision and contribute to code-review, testing and deployment activities.
Technical Skills
JavaScript/TypeScript – Angular 2+ and Node.js.
Docker containerisation.
Git-based pull request workflows and agile development.
TypeScript development.
Angular Material UI API.
Neo4J and PostgreSQL databases.
RESTful API development and systems integration.
Networking and Linux environments.
Qualifications
Australian Citizen with a minimum of Baseline Security Clearance or higher.
Previous Defence experience will be highly regarded.
