Role Overview
This role will provide evidence-based best-practice assessment, formulation, and intervention for a wide range of mental health disorders and other systemic barriers preventing clients from entering employment or beginning study. You will be supporting our customers to address their non-vocational barriers and develop their skills and job readiness. The role may also involve delivery of training relevant to the field, and consultancy with other service providers.
Responsibilities
Deliver 1:1 counselling intervention with clients and problem-solve complex presenting co‐mortbidities, deliver group training and psychoeducation, work independently and as part of a team across multiple sites, manage time and administrative tasks, resolve conflict and understand available mental health and other support services.
Required Qualifications and Experience
* Degree level qualifications in a relevant field (Counselling or Social Work).
* Experience in delivering a wide range of therapeutic interventions to consumers with complex needs.
* Experience building positive interpersonal and external relationships with staff and other agencies.
* Evidence of delivering 1:1 counselling intervention and problem-solving complex co‐morbidities.
* Capability to deliver group training and psychoeducation relevant to the field.
* Ability to work as an independent practitioner and effective team member across multiple sites and teams.
* Excellent time-management, administrative skills and high level of computer literacy.
* Ability to work effectively with culturally diverse clients, employers and staff.
* Proven strategies to effectively resolve conflict.
* Sound understanding of available mental‐health and other support services.
Additional Requirements
* Hold a current driver's licence.
* Minimum Bachelor degree or higher qualification in Behavioural Sciences, Psychology, Social Work or Mental Health Counselling.
* Social Workers must be registered with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW) (SA staff only).
Contract Details
Full‐time fixed‐term basis until 02/03/2027, based at the Mandurah site.
