Thiess is seeking experienced and motivated Maintenance Leading Hands to join our high-performing team at the Eva Copper Mine Project in the Cloncurry region of Queensland, Australia. As a key member of the Eva Copper Alliance team, you will be responsible for supporting safe, efficient production across our fleet while working with a high-performing maintenance team.

Responsibilities

• Lead a skilled mobile maintenance team following Supervisors' and Superintendents' directives
• Fulfill the Maintenance Supervisors' duties in their absence
• Perform servicing, repair and maintenance of equipment as directed in accordance with Thiess servicing, lubrication and maintenance systems documentation
• Source technical information from reference manuals, technical bulletins and computer‐based systems
• Provide technical information to staff and operations personnel
• Source and requisition parts and/or equipment requirements using the correct ordering procedure
• Verify implementation of solutions or control further non‐conforming machinery until the deficiency or unsatisfactory condition is corrected

Qualifications

• Cert III in Heavy Diesel Fitting or equivalent
• Current "G1, G8, G9" (formerly S1,2,3) & RIIRIS402E G2 licences
• Proven mining experience supervising mobile maintenance HD fitters
• Demonstrated ability to work with cross‐functional teams
• High regard for health and safety and adherence to safety practices
