Demem Pumptrech in Kings Meadows (a member of the Demem Pump Group) is a highly respected, long established service provider to the Industrial Pump sector in Tasmania.

The position:
Your primary responsibility will be assessing, repairing and performing maintenance on pumps and allied equipment both on-site at client sites and in our workshop.
This role requires:
* Working on a wide range of pumps, including centrifugal, submersible, hygienic, air operated diaphragm, progressive cavity, vacuum etc.
* Working on agitators, valves and other industrial equipment allied to the pump industry.
* Completion of assessment reports.
* Selection of parts required for repairs.
* Other general duties to ensure workshop standards are maintained
* You be proficient in the use of Lathe and Milling machines.
* Fabrication work from time to time to address process or equipment maintenance, installations or problems. MIG, TIG, Arc, Oxy welding skills an advantage.
* Flexibility in working hours to meet business needs, including shift patterns and facility shutdowns. Possible after-hours availability in support of our clients requirements.
* Familiarity with mobile phone apps and standard computer skills.
* The ability to operate a forklift safely.
* Strong commitment to Occupational Health, Safety and Environment.
* (Optional but beneficial) Experience with condition monitoring techniques such as vibration analysis would be an advantage.
To be successful for the role you must have:
* Live within a 50km radius of Kings Meadows
* A super keen eye for detail (VERY IMPORTANT)
* Understood the role and its duties as listed.
* A positive, pro-active attitude and be open to a changing work schedule as priorities can change quickly.
* Excellent mechanical aptitude (3+ years minimum experience ideally in a pump repair role, however training will be provided to the right applicant).
* Excellent time management skills and work ethics.
* A super keen eye for detail. (YES, REPEATED BECAUSE IT'S THAT IMPORTANT)
* C class driver licence (Forklift licence would be advantageous but not essential)
* Good interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
* Experience using a variety of tools including welders, grinders, drills etc.
