About the Role
As a Customer Service Officer, you will be the friendly first point of contact at Council's front counter and call centre, handling enquiries, requests, and payments. You'll also support administrative tasks, maintain accurate records, and contribute to improving customer service processes. In this role you will:
* Provide professional, efficient, and accurate customer service across Council services
* Maintain confidentiality of Council and customer information
* Accurately record and manage customer enquiries and follow up within service standards
* Process payments and assist with daily balancing tasks
* Liaise with other departments to resolve customer issues
* Participate in training and contribute to customer communication and service improvements
What you'll bring
To be successful in this role, you will have:
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact positively with a diverse community
* Calm and professional approach to handling difficult customers and situations
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to accurate record keeping and cash handling
* Ability to work well independently and within a team
* Minimum of 2 years customer service experience
* Certificate III in Business or similar relevant qualifications
* Part-Time, 66.64 hours fortnight
