An expanding Surgical Practice in St Peters is looking for a Full-Time Medical Secretary for its friendly fast paced team.
We are seeking someone who is committed to providing exceptional customer service to patients whilst supporting the Surgeons to achieve optimal patient care. You will have ideally worked in a Medical Reception/Secretary role with knowledge of Genie software (an advantage), or other medical software - a nursing background also acceptable. You will have strong attention to detail, have excellent communication skills, be passionate about patient care and have the ability to maintain patient confidentiality at all times.

The successful candidate will be flexible, reliable, punctual, resilient and committed and will be able to work between 8.00am and 5.30pm.
Scope of work:
Reception - attending to patient and practitioner needs in a friendly efficient and professional manner, receipting accounts (Medicare/DVA/ Private Billing)
Telephone and patient bookings - telephone enquiries, co-ordinating many aspects of patient care including referrals and investigations
Clinical - scheduling theatre, co-ordinating anaesthetists and assistant surgeons, procedure billing, quoting for operations and patient follow up
Administration - preparation of theatre lists, correspondence, recalls and other administrative duties
