About The Role
We are seeking a proactive and reliable Electrical Planner to join our team.
Reporting directly to the Electrical Superintendent, you will be responsible for developing, scheduling and coordinating electrical maintenance activities to ensure safe, reliable and cost-effective operations of mining and processing electrical assets.
The role focuses on planning preventative and corrective maintenance for electrical systems, minimizing downtime and supporting compliance with statutory and company standards.
Develop detailed work plans for electrical maintenance tasks, including labour, material, tools and equipment requirements.
Schedule preventative maintenance activities to optimize equipment reliability and minimize production impact.
Coordinate with operations and maintenance teams to ensure timely execution of work orders.
Liaise with internal teams and external contractors to secure resources for planned work.
Maintain accurate records of critical spares and initiate stock replenishment.
Review and prioritise electrical work orders and ensure accurate
Job scoping and documentation.
Collect and analyse electrical performance metrics to identify trends and recommend improvements.
Identify recurring electrical failures and propose corrective actions.
Review planning and scheduling processes to eliminate inefficiencies and reduce downtime.
Contribute to reliability initiatives and asset management strategies.
Oversee spare parts inventory management for all equipment supplies.
Identify and requisition all necessary electrical parts, consumables, and tools for planned tasks.
Coordinate timely ordering and receipt of parts.
Manage stock levels to reduce delays in repairs and minimize inventory costs.
About You
Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician
Minimum 5 years' experience in mining or heavy industrial maintenance
Proficient in using Computerised Maintenance Management Systems
Solid understanding of Work Health and Safety legislation and mining regulations
Supervisory experience in multi-disciplinary teams.
Good literacy and numeracy skills
Data entry, QAQC, validation and analysis experience
Work planning and scheduling skills
Self-motivated, detail and quality focused
Ability to react to change efficiently
