Job Opportunity: Clinical Director of Anatomical Pathology
We are seeking an experienced and visionary Clinical Director to lead our Anatomical Pathology department. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for providing strategic direction and oversight of the department's operations, ensuring high-quality patient care and exceptional service delivery.
* About the Role: This is a permanent full-time position with a 3-year appointment as Clinical Director of Anatomical Pathology. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of leadership and management experience in a similar field, with expertise in anatomical pathology.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide strategic direction and oversight of the department's operations
* Ensure high-quality patient care and exceptional service delivery
* Lead and manage a large complex pathology department, including human, physical and financial resources
* Build and inspire multidisciplinary teams, and be an effective team member
* Develop and implement strategies to improve quality, safety and efficiency within the department
* Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices in anatomical pathology
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Degree in Medical Laboratory Science or related field
* Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
* Fellowship of the Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia in Anatomical Pathology
* Proven leadership and management experience in a similar field
* Expertise in anatomical pathology
* Strong communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work effectively in a team environment

* Currently registered or eligible for registration with AHPRA
* Demonstrated contemporary clinical knowledge and technical expertise in anatomical pathology

* Demonstrated superior communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills
