Our valued State Government client is currently recruiting an experienced Business Support Officer within their busy team to assist with a variety of administrative tasks.
As the Business Support Officer, your responsibilities are to:
* Provide efficient and high standards of customer service to customers
* Effectively monitor and manage internal and external correspondence, incoming and outgoing telephone calls and ensure responses are provided within required time frames.
* Willingness to work within a fast-paced environment with KPI’s and mechanisms to measure and monitor performance.
* Ability to connect with industry, local suppliers and internal and external stakeholders to ensure the timely and effective delivery of services.
* Demonstrate professionalism and be a positive contributor to a great team and culture while being prepared to perform recurring work.
* Be dedicated to customer satisfaction, and within boundaries, develop an outcome which achieves both customer and business objectives.
* Ensure high standards and accuracy when compiling documents and reports or updating records and information systems (i.e. in Ellipse and Microsoft Office).
* Demonstrate initiative and be a team player by appropriately handling enquiries to senior staff in their absence within expected timeframes.
* Develop and maintain procedures, manuals and registers while being a contributor to improving existing procedures.
* Effectively undertake general administration functions as required.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
* High level attention to detail and accuracy
* Ability to work independently
* Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
* Excellent customer service skills
* Basic accounts knowledge would be an advantage
* Capacity to start immediately in a role
