About the Role
You’ll help keep our framing and art services production running smoothly by preparing materials, assisting with frame assembly and fine art stretching, supporting customers with art materials sales, operating tools and machinery, and maintaining an organised, safe workspace.
This is an active, varied role suited to someone who enjoys hands-on work, learning practical skills, and being part of a collaborative creative team.
Key Responsibilities
* Measure, cut, and prepare framing materials for custom framing projects
* Assist with frame assembly and fine art stretching using hand tools and specialised machinery
* Take framing and stretching orders, including measuring artworks, preparing quotes and invoices, and providing knowledgeable customer advice
* Learn and operate workshop equipment including the Double Mitre Saw, Routers, Drop Saw, and V-Nailer
* Assist customers with art materials sales and product enquiries
* Maintain stock levels and ensure materials and supplies are organised and rotated appropriately
* Inspect materials and finished work to ensure a high standard of quality and craftsmanship
* Maintain a clean, safe, and organised workspace
* Work collaboratively with the team to meet production deadlines
* Assist with packing, shipping, and other general workshop and production duties as required
