We are seeking an experienced Sewing Machinist and Samples Fabricator to join our dynamic team at Victoria Carpets in Dandenong North, VIC. This full-time role is responsible for creating high-quality sample products that showcase our latest carpet designs and innovations.
What you'll be doing
- Operating industrial sewing machines to fabricate carpet samples as per design specifications
- Ensuring all samples adhere to quality standards and meet the required specifications
- Collaborating with the department manager to ensure workflows are followed and targets are met
- Maintaining a clean, organised and safe work environment
- Providing input and suggestions to improve sample production processes
What we're looking for
- Proven experience as a Sewing Machinist or in a similar role within the manufacturing, textiles or carpet industry
- Strong proficiency in operating industrial sewing machines and related equipment
- Excellent attention to detail and quality control mindset
- Ability to follow basic instructions
- Team-oriented with a collaborative approach
- Strong organisational and time management abilities
