The company employs in-house designers and engineers. They currently work with some of the best builders in Victoria, on some of the most exciting projects.Role DescriptionThis is a full-time permanent Estimator role located in Sunshine West, VIC. The Estimator will be responsible for:Creating estimates and quotesAnalysing project requirementsCommunicating with clients and suppliersAssisting with project coordination and scheduling.Work closely with the Finance Director, Business Development Manager and Drafting TeamYou'll take charge of a construction estimate, using your skill to accurately measure a project, formulate a quote and track key metrics within the company.This role is an integral part of the business. You will be involved in evaluating estimating data, tender processes and making your mark on the estimating side of the business.About You5+ years experience in an estimating role in construction. Ideally working on Structural Steel projects up to $300k in valueExperience on E1 (Estimate One)Confident creating tenders and an excellent understanding of the estimating processStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsAttention to detail and accuracyExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to think outside of the box and consider design challengesProficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant estimating software (Bluebeam preferred)Technical background in quantity surveying, engineering or construction is a plusWhat our client offers:Career defining work at an exciting workplaceA clear pathway of career growth – to Senior Estimator and developing an estimating teamExciting work outside of the traditional construction methodBe a valuable member of a growing teamWorking directly with the Head of Sales and Estimating DirectorDesign & Build specializes in recruitment for the Construction, Manufacturing, Engineering & Property industries on a national basis.
