About the role
ABBA Engineering is seeking two trade-qualified Boilermakers / Senior Fabricators to join our Pinjarra Workshop team.
This is a hands-on, senior-level workshop role for experienced Boilermakers who take pride in producing accurate fabrication work, high-quality welds, and contributing to process development in a structured, safety-driven environment.
You will work closely with our production supervisor, Automatic Welding & Draft Engineer and robotic welding operators to deliver projects safely, efficiently, and to specification.
This is not an entry-level role — the successful candidates will be instrumental in building the processes and workflows that our Welding Operators will follow and growing into workshop technical leaders.

* Performing MIG, TIG and Stick welding to specification
* Tacking, fitting and aligning components before final weld-out
* Grinding and finishing welds so they're clean and compliant
* Assembling fabricated parts using bolts, rivets or other mechanical methods where required
* Checking your own welds for quality, penetration and accuracy
* Support the new facility process and SOP development and set up
You will also:
* Load and unload components into robotic welding cells
* Tack and prepare parts for robotic weld runs
* Inspect completed robotic welds before they move to the next stage
* Mentor and train junior operators on fabrication and welding processes
* Work closely with the fabrication and mechanical teams to keep workflow moving
We are looking for someone who is hands-on, independent, and solutions-focused, with the ability to work in a developing environment and help build scalable workshop processes.

You Will Be Successful If You:
* Take pride in clean, accurate welds and fabrication work
* Work well independently and within a team
* Understand production deadlines and workshop workflow
