Job Description We are seeking experienced Systems Administrators to support the Australian Defence Force's Data Fusion Centre (DFC). This role provides subject matter expertise in maintaining Joint Situational Understanding and Targeting System (JSUTS) applications and hardware. The successful candidate will deliver local user support, level 2 troubleshooting and fault resolution across a range of mission systems. Duties and Responsibilities Diagnose and troubleshoot application issues on Linux and Windows systems Resolve TCP/IP, UDP and VLAN issues Manage JSUTS virtual infrastructure Administer JSUTS Active Directory, users, groups, DNS, DHCP, access control and certificates Monitor network performance using diagnostic tools and address degradation Conduct system analysis and report faults Perform basic scripting in Bash, Ansible, PowerShell, Python and JavaScript Advise on JSUTS automation and optimisation Execute system backups and restorations Communicate technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders Coordinate internal and external teams to maintain business continuity and minimise downtime Provide desk‑side support to end users Identify and resolve network issues including bottlenecks, single points of failure and capacity constraints Contribute to governance and policy development for the ADF DFC Support capability lifecycle planning in collaboration with the DFC System Manager and Joint Data Network Operations Officer Education/Certifications Required Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) - Essential Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) - Desirable Knowledge/Skills Required Familiarity with JSUTS applications including GCCS‑J, JTT, JADOCS and GCCS‑I3 Experience with SYBASE, SQL, PostgreSQL and LDAP Proven system administration experience on Australian Top Secret servers Strong understanding of operating and host environments for mission systems Employment Benefits Competitive salary and benefits package Opportunity to work on mission‑critical Defence capabilities Professional development and certification support Collaborative and high‑impact team environment Diversity and Inclusion We are committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive workforce.
