About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to lead and deliver high-quality nursing care to our clients. The successful candidate will work closely with the Care Manager and Residential Services Manager to direct and deliver exceptional care.
Key Responsibilities
* Leading and Supervising Support Provision: Direct and supervise support provision for daily living in accordance with each resident's care/service plan.
* Social and Physical Engagement: Promote social and physical engagement in all resident interactions, fostering a positive and inclusive environment.
* Risk Assessment and Management: Assess residents' condition and functional ability, identify risks, and develop strategies to mitigate them.
* Medications and Administration: Ensure optimal use of medications, monitor for adverse reactions, and administer in a timely and safe manner.
* Leadership and Coaching: Provide leadership, direction, support, mentoring, and coaching to Personal Carers, Enrolled Nurses, Hotel Service staff, Lifestyle, Maintenance, and Administration staff on each shift.
Requirements and Qualifications
* Bachelor of Nursing: Hold a current Bachelor of Nursing degree and be registered as an RN with AHPRA.
* Certifications and Experience: Possess current First Aid and CPR certifications, with previous experience working as an RN in an aged care environment.
* Communication and Problem-Solving Skills: Demonstrate exceptional communication skills, with the ability to read and write clearly, particularly in progress notes. Additionally, exhibit outstanding problem-solving skills to balance supporting residents' desire for independence while managing potential risks.
* Dementia Care and Funding: Have a high-level understanding of dementia care and the application of AN-ACC funding models.
