Who we are
Everest Tutoring supports Year 7–10 students across Perth. We run structured, high-quality programs that build concept mastery, exam technique, confidence under pressure, and consistent improvement over time.
We also provide a full pathway of support for students pursuing selective programs like GATE, as well as preparation for high school success and ATAR pathways. If you want to teach in a place that takes outcomes seriously and invests in students properly, you'll fit in well here.
The role
You'll teach Year 7–10 students in small-group classes (kept intentionally small) and, where needed, 1-on-1 support. Your job is to make hard content feel clear and doable.
What you'll do:
1. Teach structured lessons for Year 7–10 Maths, Science, and English
2. Break down complex ideas into simple steps
3. Coach students on exam strategy and problem-solving
4. Build a positive classroom culture where students feel comfortable asking questions
5. Track progress and help students improve week to week
6. Work within our teaching approach and resources (so you spend less time on admin)
Subjects we're hiring for
We're currently recruiting tutors for Mathematics, Science, and English across Year 7–10.
We ideally hire tutors who can tutor all 3 subjects.
What you'll bring
We're looking for tutors who are capable, reliable, and great with people.
Academic requirements:
7. Minimum ATAR: 95+
8. Ideal ATAR: 99+
9. Strong results in the subjects you want to teach (we care about subject strength, not just the overall number)
Skills and mindset:
10. Clear communication and the ability to simplify concepts
11. A calm, supportive teaching style, with high standards
12. Professionalism, reliability, and strong organisation
13. Genuine care for student progress
Experience:
14. Tutoring experience is helpful, but not required
15. Recent Year 12 graduates are welcome
Commitment and compliance:
16. Full academic year commitment (preferred)
17. Willingness to sign a tutor contract
18. NDA and non-compete agreement required
19. Must have, or be willing to obtain, a Working With Children Check, Police Clearance & ABN
Locations and schedule
In-person tutoring at our Perth centres, including Harrisdale, Willetton / Rossmoyne, and Perth Modern School. Online options available.
Most sessions run after school and on weekends. Timetables are set term by term and vary by subject and location.
