About the role
Working and learning within a multidisciplinary team environment, the graduate Social Work position will provide high quality psychosocial clinical services commensurate with their level of experience, and with a level of supervision that decreases with increasing experience.
The Social Worker will collaborate with appropriate inpatient teams and community health providers and community agencies to help meet inpatient needs that will facilitate best possible health outcomes and support the continuum of care.
About you
- Commitment to learning and developing Social Work practice skills and through active participation in continued professional development, supervision to meet the CPD hours set by the AASW and commitment to the full two-year (24 month) graduate position.
- Demonstrated interpersonal skills and ability to build, maintain and effectively manage professional relationships with patients, carers / families, service providers and other health professionals, including the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment and to work cooperatively with other professionals and contribute positively in all interactions in the workplace at all levels.
- Demonstrated ability to participate in quality or service improvement activities under the clinical practice and / or professional supervision of a more experienced practitioner.
**Mandatory Requirements**:
- Vaccinated against, and remain vaccinated against, certain vaccine preventable diseases (VPD) as outlined in the Health Employment Directive NO. 01/16
- Vaccinated against COVID-19 as outlined in the Health Employment Directive NO.12/21and the Queensland Health Human Resources Policy B70.
