Role Purpose / Mission:
The role of the Education Manager is to drive and implement market’s annual training plan. Educate Beauty Advisor (BA), Beauty Therapist (BT), and all La Prairie staff to ensure a thorough understanding of brand, products, science, sales and service. Lead training KPI’s to drive retail strategy. Acts as Brand Ambassador to support PR and CRM events / seminars to build client loyalty. Understand La Prairie’s luxury positioning and can communicate it to BAs and clients.
Main Accountabilities:
Education and Events
1. Responsible for delivering product knowledge, selling and service strategies to BAs
2. Educates team on how to evaluate the client’s skin to offer the correct treatment based on their needs
3. Identify the training needs of BAs to ensure excellent client service, strong selling skills, and goal achievement, especially within the first three months of employment.
4. Conducts training for new products and new tools and creates additional training sessions for BAs who need support
5. Supports BA team in field via product knowledge refresh coaching and facial technique training
6. Conducts Client Events when required. Develops close connections with key VVIPs
7. Performs facials as required for VVIPs and Friends of the brand
8. Assist with the co-ordination of the Beauty Advisor Conference in training preparation & logistics annually
Retail Coaches
9. Ensures Retail Coaches are proficient in product knowledge, sales training and facial training.
10. Motivate, lead and encourage Retail Coaches and BA’s to achieve sales targets
11. Develop coaching plan, in collaboration with Retail Manager and Retail Coaches to improve performance and KPI’s
12. Ensure Retail Coaches are aligned with in store education objectives.
Build and lead a team of High-Impact Fields Teams (HIFT)
13. Effectively manage the performance of HIFT
14. Assess store and BA productivity and propose action plans for improvement.
15. Ensure timely recruitment and evaluation of new HIFT
16. Identify and actively participate in the career growth and development of HIFT
Administration
17. Lead data-driven and digitalized approach in Training – analysis of data dashboards & digital app learning usage.
18. Customize training materials according to local environment and customer specific needs
19. Carry out and submit actionable reports, training evaluations and assessments to ensure effective training follow-up in cooperation with Retail Director
20. Manages and controls (with Education Administrator) the local education budget to ensure the company gets the best return on investment and all budgets are managed in line with % of sales objectives
21. Maintains (with Education Administrator) training registry for all business channels
Requirement:
22. University degree or equivalent tertiary qualification
23. 5 years of experience in retail training and retail sales. Preferably in a luxury skincare /cosmetic background, with high standards of Client knowledge
24. With Beauty Therapist qualification
25. Knowledge of the skin physiology and anatomy
26. LMS / e-learning administrator experience
27. PowerPoint skills an advantage
28. Excellent communication and relationship building skills. Strong communication, interpersonal skills and presentation
29. Fluent in English
30. Minimum 40% of time spent in store
