An exciting opportunity awaits for Aged Care Workers to join the team at selectability, a reputable aged care provider supporting the Lower Gulf of North Queensland. Aged Care Workers play a vital role by providing quality, responsive, and compassionate care that fosters trusted, long-term relationships with older persons. Working closely with Registered Nurses, Enrolled Nurses, and the healthcare team, you will deliver person-centred care to support the well-being of older persons.
If you are an experienced and compassionate Aged Care Worker seeking a new challenge, FIFO work could be ideal. We offer an organized swing roster with regular rotations and known leave dates, allowing you to plan your life accordingly. We prioritize fatigue management to ensure adequate rest between shifts. Our compensation includes above award rates, and we cover travel, accommodation, and meals, removing logistical concerns. Working in regional and remote communities provides a unique cultural experience, and you will be part of a dedicated team committed to delivering the best care possible.
About you
To be considered, you should have excellent interpersonal skills, the ability to take direction, and work well within a team.
You must:
* Communicate confidently and professionally at all levels
* Possess exceptional time management and attention to detail
* Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and follow instructions
* Adhere to policies and procedures consistently
* Be sensitive and adaptable to diverse personalities, cultural backgrounds, and personal circumstances of older persons
* Maintain a positive attitude
You will also need:
* Certificate III in Individual Support/Home and Community Care or equivalent qualification
* Experience working in an Aged Care residential facility (desirable)
* Experience working in remote areas (desirable)
* NDIS Worker Screening Clearance or the ability to obtain it
* NDIS Worker Orientation Module 'Quality, Safety & You'
* A current P1 'C' class Queensland driver's license
* Current flu vaccination (recommended)
About the offer
This is a remote position in the Lower Gulf on a 6-week on, 2-week off rotating roster.
