Stirling Community Early Learning Centre (ELC) is a not-for-profit community based Early Learning Centre located in the heart of the Adelaide Hills in a natural setting. Our philosophy places a strong emphasis on relationships, nature-based learning, Reggio Emilia principles and Marte Meo practices. The centre is licensed for 54 places and has four rooms providing for children from 0-5 years old. The centre offers above award wages and ongoing Professional Development opportunities.
Qualifications & experience
Must hold an ACECQA approved Early Childhood Qualification
Experience and competence in Assistant Director role within Early Childhood Education and Educational Leadership
Sound Knowledge of the National Quality Framework, The Early Years Learning Framework and Regulations
A satisfactory working with children clearance
Current Responding to Abuse and Neglect Training
Current ACECQA approved First Aid qualification
Tasks & responsibilities
Supporting the Centre Director in the leadership of the team to provide high-quality early learning and care. Adhere to and implement the Policies and Procedures of the Centre.
Supporting educators in the rooms as required
Educational Leadership of the programs
High level written and verbal skills and professional manner
Previous experience with business administration
Sound Knowledge of the National Quality Framework, The Early Years Learning Framework and Regulations
Ability to interact with children and families in a positive, sensitive and respectful manner
Demonstrated people management skills, including the ability to lead a team in an effective and engaged manner
Experience in developing and delivering a rich and creative educational program within a childcare context
Willingness to accept supervision and seek direction
Willingness to learn computer software
