Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site position located in Kurri Kurri, NSW. The Senior Occupational Therapist will be responsible for conducting assessments, developing tailored intervention plans, and delivering therapy services to clients of diverse needs and backgrounds, including those accessing NDIS support. Tasks include liaising with families, carers, and other professionals, providing guidance to junior team members, documenting client progress, and ensuring high-quality outcomes. The role also requires active participation in team meetings, adherence to professional standards, and contributing to the organization's mission of fostering client independence and quality of life.
Qualifications
* Strong skills in conducting occupational therapy assessments, intervention planning, and service delivery
* Proficiency in client progress documentation and report writing for professional purposes
* Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to liaise with clients, families, and multidisciplinary teams
* Knowledge of NDIS framework, disability services, and experience working within the sector
* Leadership and mentoring skills to support and guide junior team members
* Relevant qualification in Occupational Therapy and current registration with AHPRA
* Valid driver's license and ability to travel for client visits, if required
* Commitment to providing client-centered care with empathy and professionalism
