OSHC Coordinator – Build a Program from the Ground Up

Bolinda Primary School | Macedon Ranges

Bolinda Primary School is seeking a passionate and capable Out of School Hours Care (OSHC) Coordinator to lead the establishment of our brand-new OSHC program, with an immediate start available.

This is a unique opportunity to step into a role where you’re not just maintaining a program — you’re creating it from the beginning.

About Us

Bolinda Primary School is a small, welcoming rural school where every child is known and supported. Our strong sense of community, calm learning environment, and focus on relationships underpin everything we do.

We are now extending this approach into OSHC — creating a space where children feel safe, relaxed, and connected before and after school.

About the Role

As OSHC Coordinator, you will lead the design, setup, and daily operation of the program.

This role will commence immediately and will initially be casual, with a clear pathway to a permanent position from Term 3, subject to program growth.

We are looking for someone who brings both confidence and care — someone who can establish strong routines, build relationships, and create an engaging program for children.

If you are fully qualified but still building experience, we have support available to help you successfully launch the program.

Key Responsibilities

* Lead the day-to-day operation of the OSHC program (Before and After School Care)

* Design and implement engaging, age-appropriate programs

* Create a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment for all children

* Build strong relationships with families and the school community

* Ensure compliance with the National Quality Framework and regulations

* Manage administration, documentation, and reporting requirements

* Support and guide additional staff as the program grows

About the Program & Facilities

This is a newly established service, giving you the opportunity to shape how it looks and feels from day one.

The program is based onsite at the school, with access to a range of excellent indoor and outdoor spaces, providing plenty of opportunity to create a dynamic and engaging environment for children.

Hours of Work (Approx. 28 hours per week)

* Monday: 6:30am – 9:00am, 3:15pm – 6:15pm

* Tuesday: 6:30am – 9:00am, 3:15pm – 5:45pm

* Wednesday: 6:30am – 9:00am, 3:15pm – 6:15pm

* Thursday: 6:30am – 9:00am, 3:15pm – 6:15pm

* Friday: 6:30am – 9:00am, 3:15pm – 6:15pm

* Plus 1 hour flexible planning/administration time

Selection Criteria

Please address the following in your application:

SC1. Demonstrated ability to lead the development, implementation, and evaluation of engaging and age-appropriate educational programs.

SC2. Experience ensuring compliance with the National Quality Framework (NQF) and National Law and Regulations, including maintaining accurate records and documentation.

SC3. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, families, staff, and the broader school community.

SC4. Strong leadership skills, including experience in supervising and guiding a team of educators, with a commitment to professional learning and growth (both personally and for others).

SC5. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and responsibilities effectively, including (but not limited to) human resources and financial management systems within an OSHC setting.

SC6. Comprehensive knowledge of Child Safe Standards and proven experience implementing child safe practices, promoting a culturally safe and inclusive environment.

What We Offer

* The opportunity to build and lead a brand-new program

* A supportive and welcoming school community

* Access to excellent facilities and spaces

* Flexibility as the program grows

* Support during the establishment phase
