Role Overview
Our client is a leading civil contractor seeking a motivated Site Engineer to support the successful delivery of civil and construction projects across the Sydney Metro area. Working closely with Project Managers, Supervisors and site teams, you will play a key role in coordinating site activities, ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently and in accordance with project specifications.
This role is ideal for an engineer who enjoys being hands‐on, problem‐solving on site and building strong relationships with crews and subcontractors.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist in the planning, coordination and execution of site works across civil, demolition and excavation projects.
* Provide engineering and technical support to Project Managers and site supervisors.
* Interpret and manage drawings, specifications and project documentation.
* Set out works and verify levels, measurements and tolerances.
* Coordinate subcontractors and suppliers to ensure works progress to schedule.
* Monitor quality control and ensure works meet contractual and company standards.
* Support WHS compliance on site, promoting Moits' strong safety culture.
* Identify and help resolve site issues, clashes and design queries.
* Prepare site reports, progress records and as‐built documentation.
What We're Looking For
* Degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline.
* Previous experience in a Site Engineer role within civil construction (civil/earthworks experience essential).
* Strong understanding of construction methods, drawings and specifications.
* Confidence working on live construction sites in a fast‐paced environment.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with site teams.
* Proactive, organised and solutions‐focused approach.
