The Music & Audio Production Program, unique to WA Health, is a sub-program of the Creative Expression Centre for Arts Therapy (CECAT) at North Metropolitan Health Service (NMHS). The CECAT Team embrace creativity and work collaboratively to help consumers on their mental health recovery journey. This evolving Therapeutic Program uses a holistic, person-centred approach to identify clinical need, capture the therapeutic and healing process, evaluate the therapeutic progress and reinforce creative identity.
This is a Recruitment Pool for Permanent Part Time and Fixed Term Part Time appointments at 45.6 (0.6 FTE) hours per fortnight. Fixed Term appointments will be made with the possibility of extension(s) and/or permanency.
Suitable applicants will be placed in a pool from which appointments may be made when similar vacancies occur. Appointments may be made from this pool until 31 December ****.
What is our Coordinator Music and Audio Production Program role?
This role leads the Music and Audio Production Program at CECAT. It involves key-working a complex clinical caseload, applying specialised mental health assessments, interventions and evaluation, developing individual and group music therapeutic interventions and programs for consumers. Focus of the program is on participation, inclusion, empowering individuals and acknowledging the agency of sound, technology, instruments and the environment in shaping therapeutic encounters.
This program continues to evolve and is an exciting opportunity for a therapist/clinician who has a vision for creative and innovative program development.

Advanced clinical skills for adults experiencing complex and enduring mental illness, implementing evidence-based assessments and interventions, mental state and risk assessments, and crises intervention.
Working autonomously within a complex mental health environment, determining specialised therapeutic music and audio based interventions and programs, discharge planning and community integration.
Facilitation of therapeutic and audio based interventions utilising contemporary skills in audio production for audio recordings that could be used therapeutically by mental health consumers.
Understanding of frameworks, models and practice relevant to community mental health.
A comprehensive Resume describing your qualifications, capabilities and experience relevant to this position, providing evidence of your qualifications and registration.
