About the Role
Airlie Jetski Tours is seeking an energetic and enthusiastic Jet Ski Tour Guide to join our team in paradise. This is a hands-on role for someone who loves the ocean, thrives with people, and wants to work outdoors every day in one of Australia's most beautiful locations.
You'll be responsible for leading guests on unforgettable jet ski adventures, ensuring their safety, and creating a fun and memorable experience.
Key Duties
* Guest check-in and safety briefings
* Leading and guiding jet ski tours
* Assisting guests with correct gear fitting (lifejackets, lanyards, sunglasses straps, etc.)
* Performing pre-ride safety checks on jet skis (fuel, oil, throttle, steering, kill switch)
* Launching and retrieving jet skis safely from pontoons/boat ramp
* Monitoring weather and tide conditions, adjusting tours accordingly
* Refuelling and topping up oil for jet skis between tours
* Cleaning and rinsing skis each day (flush engines, check for damage, clean hulls)
* Recording basic maintenance logs and reporting issues to management
* Assisting with fuel runs, trailer transport, and logistics
* General housekeeping (keeping gear, wetsuits, and equipment clean and organised)
Must-Have Requirements
* Jet Ski License (PWC Licence) – essential
* First Aid Certificate – essential
* Car licence – essential (for fuel runs and towing if needed)
* Fit, healthy, and comfortable working on the water daily
* Strong communication and customer service skills – must be a people person
* Confident swimmer with water safety awareness
Highly Regarded
* Coxswain ticket or higher marine qualifications
* Prior tour guide or adventure tourism experience
* Mechanical/maintenance knowledge of jet skis or small marine engines
