**About our opportunity**
We have an exciting opportunity for a **Gallery Leader** to join our Cultural Services team at our **Redcliffe Art Gallery**!
Reporting to the Galleries Coordinator, you will supervise the operations of the Redcliffe Art Gallery which presents a continual exhibition program and delivers centrally and locally developed public programs to a diverse audience base. Additionally, you will manage 3 gallery team members and a small cohort of volunteers on a day-to-day basis, including the preparation of rosters.
As a natural leader, you will lead team members to achieve a culture of high performance, continuous improvement and innovation. Your standard roster will be Tuesday to Saturday, with a Saturday RDO.
Within our region, Council own and operate three galleries in Caboolture, Redcliffe and Strathpine to provide our communities and visitors to our region with engaging and positive experiences. Accompanying our diverse and ever-changing exhibition programs are artist talks, workshops, school holiday programs and tours making our galleries the ultimate places to experience, engage and create!
This position requires the successful applicant to be available to work any 5 out of 7 days as part of the ordinary hours.
**About you**
We are looking for a natural leader with a passion and dedication to art, culture and visitor experience. You will be innovative and collaborative in your approach to building engagement and positive experiences and have effective leadership and communication skills to engage with our stakeholders, including our residents, creative practitioners and tourists
You will have the ability to uphold our values to provide effective leadership and strong experience and knowledge in the operations of a visitor-focussed cultural facility. The successful applicant will be required to provide the following:
- Current Working with children card for child related employment from Blue Card Services
- Tertiary qualification in Cultural Services and/or equivalent experience
- Current C class drivers' licence
**Cultural Services Department**
This role sits within our Cultural Services Department, which includes Galleries, Museums, Libraries, Heritage and Arts and Cultural Activation. Cultural Services aim to provide engaging leisure and learning experiences by connecting people to resources and each other. We strive for excellence when delivering exhibitions, information, collections, programs and spaces for our community and visitors. Our department employs approximately 220 staff over 16 venues throughout the region.
