Overview
Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of vulnerable children and young people? We are seeking experienced and dedicated Youth workers for our residential space on a part-time basis across the Western suburbs and Ipswich.
Responsibilities
* Provide person-centred support to young people
* Attend to the daily needs of the children and young people
* Maintain a home like workplace for young people
* Manage challenging behaviours
* Support and encourage social, emotional, behavioural and development outcomes for children and young people
* Report writing through progress notes and reports
* Liaising with Coordinators and team leaders in relation to the young people
Essential Criteria
* Minimum Certificate IV in Child, Youth and Family intervention or other recognised qualification
* Current First Aid and CPR
* Queensland Blue card - Paid
* Queensland Drivers License
* Reliable registered motor vehicle (4-door sedan)
* Comprehensive car insurance
* Current LCS2 or LCS7 or ability to complete and pass (Please note this can take up to 4 weeks to process)
* Must be available for Weekend work, sleepovers and Support shifts
