Job Description
A Registered Nurse who understands the importance of establishing a therapeutic relationship with clients to support them in achieving their best possible goals and outcomes. As a Nurse, one is expected to demonstrate the core nursing values of person-centred care, trust and respect in every interaction with clients, their representatives and fellow care givers/colleagues. The duties of a Registered Nurse at Bila Community Group would include:
* Working 5-15 hours a month, and it may increase in the future.
* Supporting clients during the pre-admission phase through history taking, screening, and conducting risk assessments.
* Assessing the health care needs of clients, developing evidence-based care plans, implementing, and evaluating these, in partnership with the client and other allied health professionals.
* Routine evaluation of the effectiveness of implemented care strategies, aiming at supporting clients to achieve their care goals.
* Providing ongoing clinical screening, care assessment reviews, referrals and report writing.
* Contributing to the development of task schedules for support workers to ensure client goals are met.
* Provision of clinical interventions, treatments, and therapies in line with assessed client's needs.
* Acting as a resource person by developing, implementing, and evaluating teaching plans for clients and support workers.
* Developing and maintaining collaborative relationships with allied health professionals and all disciplines.
* Maintaining an understanding of individual responsibility for patient safety, quality & risk and contributing to organisational quality and safety initiatives.
* Following organisational safety, quality & risk policies and guidelines.
Qualifications and Experience
* Bachelor of Nursing Degree.
* First Aid certificate with annual CPR recertification.
* Desirable to have Degree or higher in Health Science, Applied Science (Nursing) or relevant fields such as Mental Health, Palliative Care, Dementia Care, Community Nursing.
* Sound knowledge of the NDIS processes and operations.
