The Role
We are seeking an experienced Process Engineer to ensure process optimisation, quality assurance and continuous improvement across our Mardie Salt Operation.
In this role, you will oversee all testing, analysis and laboratory operations, ensuring compliance with safety, environmental and quality standards.
Your expertise will be vital in supporting commissioning, start-up and ramp-up activities, as well as in maintaining robust procedures for sampling, process control, equipment calibration and data reporting.
You will identify and implement improvements that enhance product quality and plant performance.
A strong focus on training, accountability and performance will be essential to success in this role.
About You
Bachelor's degree in Metallurgy, Chemical Engineering or a related discipline
Minimum of 7 years' experience in metallurgy or mineral processing, with at least 2–3 years in a supervisory or team leadership role demonstrating strong technical expertise and effective people management skills
Familiarity with laboratory instrumentation, testing methods and quality control systems
Proficiency in process control and optimisation methodologies
Knowledge of safety and environment management systems
Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook & SharePoint)
Hands-on experience with laboratory techniques including ICP-OES, AAS, titration, and wet chemistry (desirable)
Understanding of environmental and safety regulations relevant to mining and mineral processing (desirable)
Previous salt industry experience (desirable)
The successful candidate will be required to provide a national police clearance that is not older than 3 months and must hold a WA White Card.
