About the Employer Our client is a well-established mixed farming enterprise based in POPANYINNING near Narrogin, specialising in broadacre cropping and livestock operations. The business operates a modern fleet of trucks and agricultural machinery and is seeking an experienced Farm Truck Driver (MC Licence) to support efficient transport and farm operations. About the Role The Farm Truck Driver will be responsible for operating heavy combination and multi-combination vehicles to transport agricultural produce, machinery, and supplies across farm sites and regional destinations. The role also includes assisting with general farm work during peak seasons. Key Responsibilities Operate MC-class trucks to transport grain, hay, livestock, fertilizer, machinery, and other farm products. Conduct pre-start inspections, basic servicing, and ensure all vehicles are maintained in safe working condition. Load and unload goods safely, ensuring compliance with Chain of Responsibility (CoR) and WA Heavy Vehicle Accreditation (WAHVA) standards. Maintain accurate trip logs, delivery records, and vehicle maintenance documentation. Assist with harvest and seeding operations, including grain carting, chaser bin work, and machinery relocation. Ensure compliance with road transport laws, farm safety, and biosecurity regulations. Support general farm operations when not driving, such as equipment maintenance, livestock handling, and general farm labouring. Qualifications and Experience Essential: Current MC (Multi Combination) Driver’s Licence. Minimum 2 years’ experience operating heavy combination or multi-combination trucks. Sound knowledge of road safety, fatigue management, and load restraint requirements. Ability to carry out basic vehicle maintenance and safety checks. Physically fit and able to perform manual handling tasks in a rural environment. Desirable: Previous experience in agricultural or regional transport, particularly in grain, hay, or livestock haulage. Forklift licence or experience operating loaders or telehandlers. Familiarity with GPS navigation and farm machinery operations. New Zealand experience an advantage. Skills and Attributes Excellent driving and load management skills. Strong attention to detail and safety. Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work unsupervised. Good communication and teamwork skills. Flexibility to work extended hours during busy seasons such as harvest and seeding.
