About the Position
As the Events Officer, you will be responsible for the planning, coordinating and execution of CDU's major events, ranging from Open Days, academic conferences, student recruitment activations to community outreach programs. The role supports the university's strategic objectives by delivering high-quality events that enhance the university's reputation, promotes future student recruitment, and foster connections with both internal and external stakeholders.
Possessing exceptional communication skills, the Events Officer has a lead role in stakeholder management, utilising project management skills to deliver events on time and within budget, whilst maintaining a strategic focus on the return on investment of activities. Familiar with event operations and logistics, the Event Officer requires a strong understanding of the customer journey, from pre-event marketing and promotion, through attendance and on-the-day experience, to post-event follow-up and conversion, ensuring events contribute to the University's broader growth and engagement objectives.
As the Event Officer, you must have the ability to travel to regional and remote locations and at times, will be required to work outside standard office hours depending on events and peak periods of workload.
About You
To be successful, you will require:
* Degree level qualification or Diploma with relevant experience and or equivalent combination of relevant experience and or education and training in event management, marketing, business, or relevant area.
* Demonstrate an understanding of best-practice event management principles.
* Demonstrate advanced project management skills, including budgeting and reporting analytics.
* Excellent time management skills and experience in working in an environment with competing demands.
* Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills

* Experience in Protocol.
* Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment while positively influencing outcomes and maintaining positive and equitable relationships with colleagues and key stakeholders.

Remuneration
Appointment to this role will be at Professional Employee Level 6/7. The base salary will be in the range of $86,629 - $102,606 per annum. The total remuneration package will be in the range of $101,355 - $120,049 per annum, including 17% superannuation.
