Who are we?
Buller Hospitality sits under the Buller Ski Lifts (BSL) umbrella, which employs around 850 seasonal staff each winter. Our hospitality team alone hires 100+ seasonal team members, operating a range of busy venues across the resort.
For this role, Cook positions are available at:
* ABOM Foodhall – fast‐paced food hall service with multiple cuisine concepts
* Spurs Café & Restaurant – alpine smokehouse BBQ and café favourites at the top of Northside Express
* Tirol Café & Restaurant – European‐inspired alpine dining with pasta, pizza, and great coffee
* Moosehead Bar & Restaurant – lively bar and restaurant atmosphere with hearty alpine meals
Each venue offers a unique environment, but all share the same goal: delivering great food and memorable experiences for guests visiting Mt Buller.
Let's talk about the role:
As a Cook, you'll play a key role in delivering a high‐quality food experience to resort guests ranging from day visitors to Ski & Snowboard School groups and families enjoying the mountain.
Working as part of a busy kitchen team, you will help prepare and deliver well‐presented, high‐quality meals while maintaining strong food safety and hygiene standards.
Responsibilities include:
* Preparing and cooking menu items to recipe and presentation standards
* Assisting with food preparation and stock rotation
* Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe kitchen environment
* Following food safety, hygiene, and workplace safety procedures
* Working collaboratively with chefs and kitchen teams to deliver efficient service
What the kitchens are like:
* High‐volume alpine kitchens serving hundreds of guests per day
* Fast‐paced service with strong kitchen teams
* Mix of café, smokehouse BBQ, pub classics, and alpine favourites depending on venue
* Opportunities to develop skills across multiple venues and menu styles
A bit about you:
* Previous experience working as a cook or in a commercial kitchen
* Strong time management and organisational skills
* Ability to work well in high‐pressure service environments
* Positive attitude and willingness to be part of a team
* Sound knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards
* Available to work the full winter season (June – October)
* And of course... excited about doing a snow season
