About the role

Being a receptionist in an allied health clinic is a serious and confidential role. Join our team to take that responsibility and add a twist - dinosaurs We are seeking someone with the ability to greet each client with a friendly smile and a positive attitude, welcoming them with joy and imagination into an often daunting experience, where their needs are prioritised, and they feel valued and understood.

Supersaurus is a multidisciplinary practice in Tamworth, NSW. We try to ease anxieties for therapy by making it fun. Supersaurus is a place for people who feel they don't fit or or feel disconnected to those around them - here they can find their tribe, and feel supported.

This is a Permanent Part-Time position. You will be working alongside our Admin team which comprises of Receptionists, Administration Managers and Accounts Managers.

Creating a Welcoming Environment

The receptionist helps create a welcoming atmosphere. This means maintaining tidy, organised, and comfortable common areas where clients feel at ease. As well as greeting clients and their families with a friendly smile.

Supporting Families and Children

One of the most rewarding aspects of being a receptionist at Supersaurus is supporting families. Engaging with our clients requires patience and creativity. Whether it's offering a comforting word or a distraction, these small gestures can significantly ease children's anxiety during their visits.

Ensuring Confidentiality

Confidentiality is a cornerstone of the receptionist's responsibilities. Handling sensitive information with care and discretion is crucial. This ensures that client's privacy is respected and protected at all times.

Managing a Diverse Range of Tasks

The role of a receptionist is dynamic, involving a variety of tasks. From scheduling appointments to handling customer inquiries, every day presents new challenges and opportunities to learn. It's like navigating through a vast, ever-changing landscape, where adaptability and quick thinking are key.

What we're looking for:

* We are looking for an individual with prior experience in customer service or administrative roles, ideally within a healthcare or medical setting.
* Candidates should possess exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities, enabling warm and professional interactions with clients, colleagues, and healthcare providers.
* Strong organisational and time management skills are vital, as is the capability to multitask and effectively prioritise tasks. Proficiency in computer systems and office software, including Microsoft Office, is essential.
* A commitment to maintaining confidentiality is required, and comfort and ease in working around children are also important.

Desirable:

* Familiarity with or understanding of NDIS is a plus, as is experience with Halaxy or similar platforms.
* Additionally, a passion for and knowledge of dinosaurs would be beneficial

We value your hard work and commitment. With our TOIL policy, any extra hours worked can be compensated with additional leave. Our practice closes for some of the NSW school holidays and this ensures ongoing paid leave, as well as extra time with family

Our office is not your typical workplace. We are passionate about dinosaurs and have incorporated this theme into our office culture. With dinosaur-themed spaces, you'll find yourself in a fun and engaging environment that celebrates the prehistoric era.

Salary will be based on Health Professionals and Support Services Award, Level 3. All applicants will be considered and juniors (18+ years) are encouraged to apply. We will offer training and support to the right candidate.

Job Type: Part-time
