**About the role**
The Intelligence Information Officer role is primarily concerned with ensuring the dissemination of high quality, timely and compliant ACIC analytical and tactical intelligence products to external stakeholders.
The Intelligence Information officer works closely with other intelligence professionals, operational teams and external partner agencies to ensure that intelligence disclosure processes, resources and outputs are supporting the strategic and operational needs of the ACIC and its clients.
This position requires strong verbal/ written communication skills, demonstrated experience in project planning and management, attention to detail and the ability to work in a team environment. This role has a strong emphasis on meeting client needs in a timely and effective manner and requires the ability to balance competing priorities/projects to meet deadlines.
Key responsibilities:
- Helping ensure that ACIC intelligence products disclosed to external stakeholders, clients and partners meet corporate quality standards and all appropriate approvals have been obtained
- Registering, triaging and managing responses for all requests for intelligence-related information (RFIs)
- Collating, reviewing and relevant internal/external dissemination of unsolicited correspondence received by the agency
- Maintaining a register of intelligence products received for external partner agencies and the internal dissemination and corporate filing of such reports
- Managing and updating the ACIC intelligence product and RFI templates
- Providing support and advice to staff on how to correctly disseminate agency information and intelligence products or seek information from external partners.
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate the following experience, skills and attributes:
- Performs quality assurance and dissemination functions to ensure the high quality and compliance of ACIC tactical, operational and strategic intelligence products released that inform and impact decision-making for internal and external stakeholders
- Maintains and works to improve corporate report and disclosure templates to make user experience easier and contribute to an expedited and better final product
- Supports inter-disciplinary and inter-agency liaison to maintain productive networks and to promote information sharing, partnerships and common understanding
- Contributes to a collegiate approach within the team that promotes a culture of flexibility and improvement
- Undertakes staff mentoring and training tasks and additional DRFI projects as tasked by DRFI Assistant Director and/or Supervisor Intelligence Information.
- Understanding of or the ability to acquire a sound knowledge of relevant areas of the ACC Act governing the lawful dissemination of ACIC intelligence and information.
- Demonstrated experience in supervising a team.
- Strong oral and written communication skills including the ability to service internal and external clients.
- Demonstrated ability to carry out complex projects involving research and analysis, high level problem solving and the formation of sound judgments.
- Strong team skills, including the ability to build and maintain effective internal and external relationships through consultation and sharing of information.
