Geotechnical Engineer Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Geotechnical Engineer to join our team in Sunshine Coast, AU.
This role will focus on key projects across Australia, including Borumba Pumped Hydro, Sunshine coast Metro, and other exciting initiatives.
You will have the opportunity to work on projects across Australia, while also providing internal support services globally.
As part of our Geotechnical practice, you will be responsible for undertaking and delivering geological and geotechnical investigations to inform the design and construction of major infrastructure projects.
Your role will involve developing ground models in support of design, providing specialist advice on ground conditions, risks, and solutions, and contributing to the preparation of high-quality geotechnical reports for a broad range of clients.
You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders, integrating geotechnical expertise into broader project delivery.
Key responsibilities include:
* Undertake and deliver geological and geotechnical investigations to inform the design and construction of major infrastructure projects.
* Develop ground models in support of design.
* Provide specialist advice on ground conditions, risks, and solutions.
* Contribute to the preparation of high-quality geotechnical reports for a broad range of clients.
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders, integrating geotechnical expertise into broader project delivery.
About You
We are looking for someone with a strong background in geotechnical engineering, with a Bachelor's degree in Engineering Geology, Geotechnical Engineering, or a related field.
A minimum of 5 years of proven experience in geotechnical site investigation, geotechnical interpretation for civil infrastructure projects is required.
You should have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, ability to interpret and model geological data effectively for infrastructure design and construction.
Proficiency in geotechnical investigation and interpretation software such as OpenGround, Leapfrog, GIS and CAD software is essential.
Solid knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulations, for geotechnical investigations and laboratory testing is necessary.
