About the Role
As our full-time Maintenance Supervisor, you will lead the day‐to‐day operation of the maintenance team, providing support, technical guidance and ensuring our iconic 60+ year old property is maintained to the highest standard. You will also:
* Carry out preventative and reactive maintenance across hotel facilities and systems.
* Respond quickly to maintenance requests to minimise downtime and guest disruption.
* Supervise and support the maintenance team in daily operations.
* Assist with safety and compliance checks including fire systems, emergency lighting and plant inspections.
* Coordinate contractors and ensure work is completed safely and to brand standards.
* Support sustainability and energy efficiency initiatives across the hotel.
* Work closely with Housekeeping, Front Office and other departments to maintain smooth hotel operations.
* Assist with maintenance reporting, rostering and ongoing improvement projects.
This role is ideal for a hands‐on maintenance leader who enjoys problem‐solving, takes pride in their work and thrives in a fast‐paced hotel environment.
Qualifications
* Previous experience in general maintenance, ideally within hotels, hospitality or large commercial properties.
* Strong technical knowledge across electrical, plumbing, HVAC and general building maintenance.
* Strong problem‐solving skills and the ability to work efficiently in a fast‐paced environment.
* Good communication skills with the ability to support and motivate a team.
* Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
* A solid understanding of workplace health, safety and compliance requirements.
* Flexibility to work a rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays as required.
