Bidfood Australia is looking for an experienced Logistics Specialist to manage supply and cold-chain logistics from our national warehouses to branches across Australia. You will develop compliance and logistics procedures with safety, efficiency and reliability at the heart of everything you do.

About the Role
As Logistics Specialist, you will be the key link between warehouses, branches and transport providers – taking ownership of national freight performance and Continuous Improvement – while ensuring all activities align with HVNL, safety and environmental requirements.
On a day-to-day basis, you will:
* Manage outbound transport from four central warehouses to national branches.
* Coordinate inbound freight to support stock availability and demand planning.
* Implement logistics strategies to improve cost efficiency and service performance.
* Lead communication between warehouses, transport providers and internal teams.
* Negotiate carrier rates and service agreements.
* Analyse transport data to identify trends, risks and improvement opportunities.
* Ensure compliance with HVNL, safety standards and environmental requirements.
* Report performance insights to the National Operations Manager.
About You
You're a logistics professional with proven experience, who knows how to communicate with people to achieve the best results. You're also commercially minded and can operate in a fast-paced, multi-site environment – balancing hands-on coordination and strategic planning. You know HVNL regulations. You know supply chains and the people who keep goods moving. You don't just talk the talk – but when you do, people listen because you deliver results through collaboration.
Skills & Expertise
To succeed in this role, you will need:
* Proven experience in logistics, preferably cold-chain, specifically managing high-volume, multi-site national freight movement.
* Proven ability to negotiate carrier rates and implement cost-optimisation strategies that protect the bottom line.
* Expert knowledge of HVNL regulations and a commitment to rigorous safety and environmental standards.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office – particularly Excel – with the ability to learn internal software systems and turn transport data into actionable insights.
* A current forklift licence (LF).
* Willingness to undergo a National Police Check.
