The primary objective of this role is to provide technical expertise in track and civil disciplines within the maintenance business unit.
Key Responsibilities:
* Execute the technical maintenance plan for managed assets on rail networks.
* Exercise delegated engineering authority for integrity of civil assets.
* Monitor defect management practices by maintenance teams to ensure compliance with contractual requirements.
* Support performance analysis of track and civil assets.
* Analyse data to produce progress and project reporting.
* Predict specialist equipment requirements for projects.
* Evaluate new technologies and deliver trial products.
* Contribute to project identification, prioritisation, and scoping of major and minor projects.
* Develop expenditure budgets, reports, and forecasts.
* Assist with incident management and preparation of incident reports.
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent industry experience.
* Degree in Asset Management, Infrastructure, or Maintenance Management (preferred).
* Chartered Engineering Status (preferred).
* Minimum 3-5 years railway engineering experience in a similar role.
