**Introduction**:
BCR Communities (formerly Bay & Basin Community Resources) provides support to individuals with disability through our Work, Life & Training Program in Sanctuary Point. Due to increasing demand for our services we are seeking to employ additional Disability Support Workers who are experienced, kind, enthusiastic and passionate about supporting people with disability to achieve their goals.
We are a highly-regarded not-for-profit organisation which has been serving our local communities for over 30 years.
Positions are based at our Activities Hub in Sanctuary Point and may also involve supporting individuals with activities throughout the Bay & Basin and Shoalhaven region.
Commencing on a casual basis, your work hours will grow based on growing demand for our services. Shifts will generally be scheduled during the weekdays, with occasional evenings and weekends.

Tasks & Responsibilities
The Disability Support Worker role will involve providing one on one support and/or facilitating group activities depending on the goals and choices of each individual participating within the program.
The role is as diverse as the people we support. You could be supporting participants learn new skills and meet goals in any number of areas such as:
- Harness your basic DIY skills to support participants in hands-on projects or small maintenance tasks around our workshops and venues
- Use your green thumb to support participants in lawn and gardening activities
- Get into the kitchen and support participants with meal preparation to improve their menu planning and cooking skills
- Tap in to your creative side and support participants with music and artistic interests and goals
- Facilitate vocational, social and recreational activities in either a group or one on one setting
**Skills and Experiences**:
**Role Requirements**:
- Certificate 3 or 4 in Disability Support, Individual Support are preferred.
- Positive attitude and hardworking.
- Ability to work autonomously.
- Friendly, enthusiastic personality and have professional experience in the disability sector.
- Working with Children Check and NDIS worker screening
- NDIS Worker Orientation module
- First Aid Certificate + CPR
- Drivers Licence, with safe driving record
- Current car registration & comprehensive insurance
- Fully vaccinated against COVID-19
