About the role As a Support Worker in Catering, your role will be responsible for maintaining a high standard of catering, and presentation whilst handling, preparing and storing food, in addition to associated cleaning tasks.
Assist with the catering service to meet resident's food requirements.
This will include food preparation, food storage, food hygiene, distribution and serving meals.
Follow written protocols for special dietary requests.
Assist with the preparation of the Dining rooms.
Work with the food safety plan and legislative guidelines.
Maintain a high standard of cleaning to resident's rooms and all general areas.
Adhere to infection control, manual handling, WHS procedures.
Maintain efficient and open communication.
About you A Certificate III in Aged Care, Home and Community Care, Disability or Individual Support (desirable) Current and valid Driver's Licence, insured, reliable motor vehicle and smart mobile phone Capacity to embrace a role that is meaningful for the community and yourself Effective verbal and written communication skills with a customer service orientation Ability to work independently and effectively manage time Proficiency in use of technology such as smart phones, email and internet A desire to join a team committed to the care of others in a mission based organisation For further information please contact Kylie Woods, Home Manager on ****************************** Why work for Calvary?
