As Category Manager, you will be responsible for driving category growth and commercial performance across key retail customers. You will develop and execute insight-led strategies across range, pricing and promotion, translating complex data into compelling customer narratives that deliver sustainable results.
This role partners closely with Sales, Marketing, Revenue Management and external data providers and plays a critical role in shaping joint business plans and range decisions.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and execute category growth strategies across priority customers
* Identify and deliver growth opportunities across range, price and promotion
* Lead customer range reviews and present compelling category stories
* Leverage shopper, consumer and market insights to inform strategy
* Partner with Sales and Marketing to support execution and innovation
* Manage external insights providers to ensure strong ROI
* Oversee category reporting and guide analyst capability development
About You
* Proven experience in Category Management within FMCG or retail
* Strong commercial acumen with experience influencing customer decisions
* Advanced capability in Excel and category data tools (e.g. Circana, Quantium, Unify)
* Confident communicator with strong storytelling and stakeholder engagement skills
* Comfortable working cross-functionally in a complex, matrixed environment
* Tertiary qualification in Business, Commerce, Marketing or similar
