As part of our Strategic Growth Plan and Queensland expansion, we're seeking a highly skilled and motivated Mining Account Manager – QLD to help grow our footprint and deepen relationships across key Queensland mining regions.
Position Overview
You will own and grow a portfolio of client accounts for Alfabs Mining with a specific focus on building our Queensland presence. The role blends relationship management with new business development, ensuring best-in-class service while expanding market share. Success looks like a healthy pipeline, satisfied clients, and consistent delivery against revenue targets.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead customer service and account management for allocated clients; act as primary point of contact to resolve issues and escalate promptly when needed.
* Drive Queensland market growth: open doors, build networks, develop local partnerships, and convert new opportunities aligned to our QLD expansion roadmap.
* Develop and maintain trusted advisor relationships with client stakeholders and executive sponsors.
* Collaborate with internal teams (Customer Service, Product, Operations) to deliver "Quality on Time" outcomes.
* Prepare accurate forecasts, pipeline and projection reports; track key metrics (quarterly results, annual forecasts) and recommend course-corrections.
* Maintain strong product knowledge across the hire fleet and technical specs, matching client needs to the right solutions.
* Provide commercial support on proposals, variations, claims and contract amendments.
* Champion Alfabs' safety, quality and continuous-improvement standards in every client interaction.
Skills & Experience
* Relevant tertiary qualifications in Business Administration, Sales or related field; current driver's licence.
* Experience in the underground mining industry (or similar) is desirable.
* Proven success in account management / customer service with a track record of winning and growing accounts.
* Strength in communication, negotiation, analysis and problem-solving; commercially pragmatic and solutions-focused.
* Proficiency with CRM software and MS Office.
* Deep understanding of the coal mining industry and related equipment is highly regarded.
* Ability to manage multiple accounts while maintaining sharp attention to detail.
* Comfortable with regular travel to client sites and operations across QLD.
