Encounter Resources Limited is looking for two cooks to work on a back-to-back 2:2 roster to the remote Aileron Project in central Australia.

The primary, near term focus for Encounter is the emerging West Arunta region of Western Australia which has the hallmarks of a new critical minerals province.
Your new role:
Reporting to the Senior Exploration Geologist, you will be required to provide assistance and support to the Exploration team by preparing meals for the team and assisting with camp maintenance and logistics.
Your duties will include:
* Preparing meals for a team of 10-20 people.
* Ensure kitchen and camp area is kept clean and tidy.
* Organise food orders and assist with logistics of delivery.
* Aid with logistics, setting up & maintaining regional off grid exploration camps (camp set up, ensuring camp water tank is full, cleaning duties).
Experience desired:
* Experience cooking for teams of 10-20 people.
* Complete understanding of food safety and good hygiene practices.
* Manual drivers license essential. A 4WD certification and experience desirable.
* Forklift ticket desirable.
* Provide First Aid Certificate desirable (will organise prior to site mobilisation if not already obtained).
* Police clearance or willing to obtain.
* Physically fit and able to work in remote environments.
* Some experience maintaining camp generators and bore desirable but not necessary.
A competitive day rate is offered for a fixed term contract position on a 2 & 1 or 2 & 2 roster depending on flight schedules.
The right candidates should be forward thinking, fit, have good communication and time management skills, the ability to work autonomously and take ownership of the role, as well as the desire to work in a remote small camp environment. April 2026 start.
