Child and Family Psychologist
This is an exciting opportunity to join a multidisciplinary team providing outreach psychology assessment, care planning, and therapeutic interventions across Far North Queensland.
* We are seeking a skilled Child and Family Psychologist to conduct psychological assessments and provide one-to-one support to children and parents as required using evidence-based therapeutic approaches for children affected by trauma or with challenging behaviors or developmental issues.
* The successful candidate will work closely with other members of the multidisciplinary team and other senior staff within the region.
* They will interact with a range of external stakeholders including representatives from schools, referral agencies, and other health professionals collaborating with academic, government, and contract organizations.
Requirements
* An undergraduate or tertiary qualification in psychology is essential.
* Masters or postgraduate clinical qualifications in mental health are highly desirable.
* Registration with relevant authorities to practice psychology is mandatory. Provisional registration will be accepted conditional on completion of all requirements for full registration within an agreed timeframe.
* A current driver's license is also necessary.
