We have anexciting opportunity for a lawyer with 2 - 6 years post admissionexperience to join our Melbourne Corporate & Commercial team,working alongside partners and senior lawyers in a well-establishedteam. Our Corporate & Commercial team in Melbourne has over 30staff members including 9 partners. The role will also offeropportunities to work with our Corporate & Commercial partnersand lawyers in Brisbane, Newcastle, Sydney and Perth.
This is afantastic hands on corporate & commercial role, withsignificant learning and development opportunities from theexperienced and well regarded team and the opportunity to work withinteresting clients. The clients are a broad mix of local andinternational companies, business owners, private investors, boardsand other stakeholders.
You will beresponsible for:
* draftingand negotiating transaction documents;
* workingon a range of matters relating to corporate/M&Atransactions (including due diligence), analysis of legal,contractual and other issues, and attending to regulatorymatters;
* liaisingwith clients and corporate and other advisers, as well as othergroups within our firm who provide specialist input on M&Atransactional issues (such as our Employment, Banking, Tax,Property and Projects colleagues);
* attending to completionof transactions;
* beingpart of a team on other commercial transactions, such ascapital raisings (private and public), joint ventures,management equity structures, etc; and
* othercommercial contracts (not necessarily associated with M&Atransactions) from time to time.

* 2 - 6years post admission experience in a corporate & commercialpractice;
* experience in M&Atransactions;
* analytical and draftingskills with strong attention to detail;
* theability to organise and prioritise effectively;
