Contractor/Part Time – CAC-Life & Health
Are you a skilled Occupational Therapist or Rehabilitation Counsellor looking to take the next exciting step in your career? Do you want to use your expertise in a role that offers flexibility, variety, and meaningful impact?
If so — CAC wants to hear from you.
We are a leading, high‐quality Health & Rehabilitation Service Provider supporting the life insurance sector, and we're expanding our exceptional network of professionals.
We are part of the Howden Broking Group, the world's largest privately owned insurance broker, headquartered in London. Since launching Howden in the Pacific region in March 2021, we have grown from a team of three to over 500 employees across Australia and New Zealand.
Our mantra is to be People First. We believe you can teach someone new skills, but not how to be a different person. We offer a chance to join a rapidly growing business at an exciting time, with a genuinely collegiate culture and highly engaged team.
We're seeking experienced allied health professionals to partner with us on a part‐time or subcontract basis, bringing their passion and clinical insight to a sector where their skills truly change lives.
Whether you are:
* Looking to broaden your experience into the life insurance and occupational rehabilitation field, or
* Ready to explore the freedom and autonomy of self‐employment through flexible contract work
This opportunity offers you the chance to grow, contribute, and shape a career that fits your lifestyle.
At CAC, you'll be supported by a team known for excellence, collaboration, and genuine care — for clients and for the people who work with us.
The opportunity
At CAC, we are expanding our exceptional team and are seeking experienced and enthusiastic Occupational Therapists and Rehabilitation Counsellors to join us on either a part‐time or sub‐contract basis.
We have opportunities available across Adelaide and we also welcome expressions of interest from professionals in South Australian regional areas, thanks to our strong national telehealth service delivery model.
As a consultant with CAC, you will bring independence, drive, and clinical expertise to a rewarding portfolio of predominantly life insurance cases, supporting clients with a wide variety of health conditions. Your work will guide individuals through pivotal moments in their recovery and return‐to‐work journey.
You will deliver a broad range of high‐impact occupational rehabilitation services, including but not limited to:
* Initial needs assessments
* Vocational assessments
* Return‐to‐work and case management support
* Work readiness services
* Vocational counselling & career coaching
* A mix of in‐person and telehealth service delivery
This is a role for allied health professionals who thrive on autonomy, variety, and meaningful outcomes — and who are motivated by helping people rebuild capability and confidence.
Let's talk about you
We'd love to hear from you if you are:
* A fully registered Occupational Therapist or Rehabilitation Counsellor
* Equipped with at least 3 years of clinical or rehabilitation experience
* Passionate about delivering exceptional service and achieving outstanding outcomes
* Energised by independent work and managing your own case portfolio
* Excited by the opportunity to expand your impact across both in‐person and telehealth settings
Just as importantly, you will be someone who embodies our cultural values: Put people first, be authentic, challenge complacency, think client, pursue excellence and keen to make your mark.
Why Join CAC?
When you join CAC, you become part of a team that is genuinely proud of the difference we make every day. Our consultants are united by a commitment to quality, integrity, and client‐centred care — and the exceptional outcomes we consistently achieve are a testament to this culture.
* Flexibility through contract or part‐time arrangements

* A supportive and experienced team who celebrate excellence
* Opportunities to grow your capability through a strong mentoring leadership team
