About the Role
We require a Yard Person for an immediate start to commence within the Santrix workshop in Mackay. The successful applicant will be responsible but not limited to the following duties:
· Loading and unloading of parts and materials
· Receipting of supplies, parts and materials
· Maintain a clean and safe work environment
· Stock management
· Equipment maintenance & compliance
· Strip parts, degrease, prep, paint & preservation
· General workshop duties
· Collection and delivery errands
· Dispatching customer jobs
· Assist tradespersons
Skills, Experience and Requirements
The ideal candidate will demonstrate:
· 2 years’ experience in a similar role
· Manual Drivers Licence (essential)
· LF Forklift Licence (desirable)
· A strong commitment to safety
· Good communication and listening skills – if in doubt ask
· MR truck licence (desirable)
· Be physically fit to complete manual labour
· Reliable and punctual – turn up on time and fit for duty
· Electrical Test & Tag Certification (desirable)
· Mechanical servicing, maintenance and inspections
· Disciplined and accurate data recording
· Capable of comprehending and following instructions as requested
· Good organisational skills
· Being thorough and taking ownership of your role and associated duties
