Scope
The Warehouse Manager is responsible for overseeing day‑to‑day operations of the warehouse, ensuring efficient storage, handling, and distribution of goods. The role involves managing a team of warehouse staff, coordinating tasks, and ensuring alignment with company policies, safety standards, and operational goals. The Warehouse Manager plays a key role in inventory management, monitoring stock levels, and overseeing the timely receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods. They also maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment, implement efficient workflows, and address operational issues. Strong leadership, attention to detail, and problem‑solving abilities are essential for ensuring smooth warehouse operations and contributing to overall supply‑chain success.
Key Responsibilities
* Coordinate and manage the company’s storage operations for efficiency and accuracy.
* Reconcile incoming and outgoing stock with requisitions and ensure proper documentation.
* Maintain and update inventory records, including stock locations and flow to production.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with staff, management, and suppliers.
* Lead systems for receiving, handling, and storing goods, ensuring best practices.
* Recruit, train, and manage warehouse staff, building a skilled, flexible team.
* Ensure the safe operation of warehouse equipment and foster a culture of safety.
* Optimize warehouse space and processes for maximum efficiency.
* Plan layouts and manage product flow to meet production requirements.
* Ensure compliance with Occupational Health, Safety, and Environmental procedures.
* Facilitate regular toolbox meetings and foster clear communication & continuous improvement culture.
* Oversee the management of dangerous goods, ensuring correct classification, storage, labelling, segregation, and documentation in accordance with regulatory requirements and workplace safety procedures.
About you
* At least 5 years of experience leading warehouse teams in a fast‑paced environment.
* Strong knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) compliance.
* Proven ability to lead by example, assign tasks effectively, and motivate your team.
* Excellent communication, problem‑solving, and people‑management skills.
* Forklift operation experience with a current LF High Risk Work licence (LO licence is a plus).
* Proficiency in warehouse management software and Microsoft Office.
* Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or Kaizen methodologies is an advantage.
