We have an exciting opportunity for a Service & Support Technician to join our team based in Bayswater, VIC. This is your chance to work in the fast moving world of film and video production equipment.
This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in electronics and hands-on experience repairing physical products. The position focuses on the assessment, diagnosis and repair of Blackmagic Design equipment, alongside providing technical support to customers who are using the products out in the field via phone and email.
We’re looking for someone who is highly organised, comfortable juggling tasks with changing priorities and capable of delivering a high standard of customer service.
Key Responsibilities
* Assess, diagnose and repair professional video and broadcast equipment.
* Provide technical support to customers via phone and email.
* Guide and quote customers through the process of sending back products for repair, including warranty assessments and non-warranty quotable repairs.
* Accurately document faults, repairs and part usage.
* Liaise with internal team members and resellers to resolve technical issues.
* Maintain a clean and organised workspace environment.
Skills & Experience
* Experience with professional audio/video equipment.
* Qualification or strong practical background in electronics or a related field.
* Ability to follow technical documentation.
* Strong fault-finding and problem solving skills.
* Excellent written and verbal communication.
* Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
